Comida Tradicional: *****
Price per person: 35€ including wine and coffees.Menú del día available (12€)
Family restaurant with bar in a mountain hamlet that is reached after a beautiful drive through the valley of Cabuerniga (Saja River) and a final climb including 10 hairpin bends.
This time we arrived cold and wet and surrounded by snow but the food was quite appropriate for wintery weather.
Our fifth or so visit and never disappointed.
Not to miss:
- first course: Cocido montañes (white bean and greens stew)
- second course: Chuletillas de lechazo (milk fed lamb chops), Estofado de corzo (venison stew)
- dessert: Tarta de castañas (chestnut caramel cake)
