R. Solana, Round 3

Another visit to Solana, to introduce some friends to its wonderful cuisine.

We over ordered, but it is also because the portions are LARGE, unlike most modern restaurants,
Judge for yourselves.
Wines: Cumel (Castilla y Leon) - 30€
Pago de Carraovejas (Ribera de Duero) - 35€

The splendid views

Artichokes like you have never had them: melt in the mouth

Boletus with low temperature egg & cheese cloud

Wild sea bass baked in salt.

Bbq pork: superb

Wild pigeon cooked 2 ways: as good as ever

The giant solomillo: incredible taste and the giant size meant we helped out in finishing it

Dessert: red fruit infusion with cheese ice-cream: extremely light and tasty

The tostada from brioche with lemon ice-cream: it was devoured!

Deconstructed cheese cake: 2 types of cheese ice-cream, red fruits & a biscuit ice-cream in the centre

Petit-fours: gin tonics, mini magdalenas, strawberry chocolate cones (plus a truffle with the coffee)
